William Apondo is an Air Quality Data Analyst for the Cities program. He supports the Emission Inventory team with collecting, processing, and analyzing indicator data for the emission inventory being developed for the cities, including the efficiency of data collection and analysis processes, and routine data QA/QC analysis to establish the scientific robustness of the collected data.
Before joining WRI, William was at the Environmental Compliance Institute working as a Research consultant on data design and analysis. Previously he also worked at the Stockholm Environment Institute Africa Centre as a Research Associate supporting air quality management for the implementation of the taking forward the United Nations Environment Assembly (UNEA) resolution: Pilot to determine air quality drivers for sub-Saharan Africa project and the Citizen Science for improved air quality in Nairobi and Addis Ababa project in piloting the applicability of low-cost sensors for air quality monitoring.
