Getting to Halifax
By Air
Halifax is serviced by Stanfield International Airport (http://www.hiaa.ca
or http://flyhalifax.ca). Some of the major airlines that service Halifax are
Air Canada, American Airlines, Continental Airlines, Delta Airlines,
United Airlines and WestJet. A full list as well as contact information
can be found here. Be sure to book early for the best prices.

Airport Shuttle and Taxi
From the airport, you can take the Airporter which services most
downtown hotels for CA$21 one way. This is an 18-seat shuttle and is
scheduled to depart the airport every 90 minutes.

A taxi or limousine from the airport will cost CA$53 (2010 rates). Several
companies have pre-arrangement capabilities.

Train
Halifax is also serviced by train once per day except Tuesday from
Montreal (VIA Rail).

Visas
Visas are NOT required for citizens of the E.U., U.S. (including green card
holders), Japan, Australia and New Zealand, among others.

Visas ARE required for some nationalities.

It is the intention of the organizers to minimize the environmental
footprint of this conference. A number of specific initiatives will be
implemented by the organizers to achieve this, including limiting
the use of paper and other materials. Attendees are invited to join
in this effort by minimizing their travel footprint and specifically
consider offsetting their travel to the conference.
