Things to do

Halifax is a vibrant port city with numerous activities to satisfy any interest.
You can arrange harbour cruises or whale-watching tours, and explore any
of the parks or museums within walking distance of the conference. As
well, Halifax Transit runs FRED - Free Rides Everywhere Downtown - a free
shuttle service that visits most of the more popular tourist areas. More

The Atlantic Jazz Festival will be running at the same time as the
conference. Details can be found here.

Pre- or post-conference, Halifax  is the starting point for exploration for
anywhere in Atlantic Canada - you can take a charter to Peggy’s Cove, see
the Highest Tides in the World or check out the Annapolis Tidal Power
Generating Station, explore the world-famous Cabot Trail or cross to Prince
Edward Island and visit Anne of Green Gables.
