Conference Events


Ice-breaker Cocktail: There will be an ice-breaker cocktail on Monday afternoon, after the Opening Ceremony at the conference venue.

GAW Celebration: On Tuesday afternoon we will have the WMO’s Global Atmosphere Watch (GAW) 25yh Anniversary Celebration.

Conference Excursions: On the afternoon of Wednesday, September 24th we will organize excursions to experience some of the beautiful sightseeing that the city and surroundings of Natal offers to the visitor. Optional packages for this afternoon will soon be available to sign in through the website's registration system. A separate fee of (between US$ 40 and US$75) for participation in this activity will be due and may be paid soon by entering the registration fee menu of your account. Conference Dinner: The conference banquet will be on Thursday evening at the Vila do Mar Hotel and is included in the registration fee. The meals will be served by a special catering service, typical Brazilian cuisine, but international and vegetarian menus will be available for those requesting this option during registration. The conference shuttle bus will operate between the venue and hotels at the beginning and the end of the banquet night.
During the banquet we will announce the YS Poster Awards. Afterwards we will have a innovative local music band (Kizambe) playing and presenting typical Brazilian dances (Samba, Forró and others). "Before the show, they will already be playing background music to accompany the dinner."

Farewell Lunch: On the last day of the conference a farewell lunch will be served on the patio of the conference venue with local typical cuisine options. This will be a moment for people to get together one last time and will allow all participants to relax and experience some of the Brazilian typical menus and drinks. The lunch will be followed by the Closing Ceremony.
