The primary purpose of this Focus Working Group is to advise the TOAR-II community on best statistical practices, including, 1) coordination of consistent uncertainty communications (in line with IPCC methods), 2) promotion of statistical thinking, 3) providing essential advice on various statistical methods and their appropriate application, and 4) advise the development of the TOAR database quality control procedures.
